Bouncing Pony Tail
I have recently started working out again after about a year, year and half off. A lot of my decision to get back in the gym is due to the fact that I’ve got my 10-year high school reunion coming up in October, but it’s also partially due to me finally getting over the horrid layer of hell I experienced that others refer to as the year of 2004. Somewhere along the way, I lost my motivation. But, like the phoenix from the ashes, I’m back to focusing on my well-being as opposed to self-pity. For the most part my spirit's healed, I’m happy, so now it’s time once again to be healthy. I know my body well enough to know I’ve never been and I’ll never be a body-building hard body, and that’s ok. I’m certainly no gym-rat (although I do kind of like the way my pony tail bounces back and forth to the beat of the music while on the elliptical trainer). But I’ll be content with working toward just being stronger and healthier, and hope that in 2005, my girl next door appearance will work to my advantage. 2004 taught me that I don’t know how to be anyone other than myself. Perhaps one day someone will appreciate just who that is.

Well it is good to hear you are happy. Just one thing to think about though, I am sure that most people in your life appreciates you for who you are, so don't forget that just because maybe they(guys in particular) don't appreciate you the way you would like to be. You have to experience the sour to really enjoy the sweet. Sounds like you are the right track. Who knows, you could meet someone tomorrow.
There was a dance team here that had all the girls with these long pony tails. As they would march they bobbed their head to make their pony tails bounce. Very cool.
I am glad you are just being yourself as you posted. There is some lucky guy out there that will appreciate that one day.
Ohmigod! You vacationed in hell too (aka 2004)? We probably could not see each other because of all the flames & smoke. Cheers to a new year & better choices!
