Let's Get It On

People, there is a reason why on ramps are on a downward slant. Yea, it's so you can pick up speed faster. Your car really is supposed to be moving at a faster speed by the time you get to the bottom. You know why this would be important? Because you, at the end of the "on ramp," will need to merge into traffic going at least 70 mph. Tough to do if you're only going 35mph - they're not going to stop to let you on the ride! So QUIT HITTING YOUR BRAKES* AND DRIVE.

thank you.

*updated 8/11/05. School Marm's on the prowl. Heaven help us.

I figured it was just Minneapolis that had this problem...

Usually that's not a problem in Atlanta - you know, people going under the speed limit.

there is nothing that pisses me off more on the road than that, it is worse than people not using blinkers or having no break lights on a trailer at night. I am going at least 70 half way up the on ramp.

That's one of the few things that really scares me about driving - merging behind some old person going 25. Or worse yet, riding the breaks and then actually stopping on the on-ramp.

If only people understood the concept of merging. What is so difficult about that? I think I have been behind the same person that KOM has.

Okay, folks...I wasn't going to mention it, but 3 have spelled it incorrectly--it's "brakes"!

Damn straight...and I'll yank your dangling participles, too, so get it right, toots. ;-)

The School Marm would have a field day on my site. I say, in the blog world bad grammar rules.

Oh yeah MARM well my dad is bigger than your dad. HAHA. kidding, I here that you're really well with grammar. WHAT!?!? who said that.

Okay--I give up! You poor spellers and bad grammarians win...I'll put away the red pen and just read for *content*! I can't afford to get my father into a boxing match with The Big Poschmansky's progenitor; we're more cerebral than pugilistic... ;-)

They have no on-ramps or anything where I live. But what I hate is when you are in the median trying to enter traffic and there are 2 or 3 cars coming that won't get over in the left lane to let you enter. That causes Road Rage.
