Livin' in High Cotton

Alabama wins the Cotton Bowl 13 - 10 Over Texas Tech

"Texas Tech quarterback Cody Hodges (10) is tackled by Alabama linebacker DeMeco Ryans (35) in the first quarter of the Cotton Bowl football game Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, in Dallas. "

"'By far they were the fastest defense we played all year," Texas Tech senior quarterback Cody Hodges said. "

"Tech head coach Mike Leach called the Tide's defensive speed "significant" in slowing down his offense, which averaged 42 points per game coming in." (but could only score 10 against the Tide...)

I'll now happily go into college football hibernation until late August. Nothing else really happens during the months of January - August anyway, right?

Earshot - sorry I had to delete your comment but I don't want where I work to be posted. Send me an email and I can help. Thanks for the congrats on the win, and no, David and I didn't make a bet THIS time...

It's always cool when YOUR team wins something big, isn't it? I know you probably don't follow hockey, but congrats for the Thrashers thrashing those hated Senators last week!

Nothing happens in January through August? Here in ACC country, we live for March Madness. Hope you had a wonderful New Year!

What's with the magic blog entry heading? First you see it then you don't. Or have Texas Tech used their tech skills to sabotage your crowing victory declaration.
