Wheeeee!
I was really dreading today: going to my cousin's 5th birthday party. I've written posts in the past about how single people without children should never under any circumstance be invited to children's birthday parties. And I still agree. But when it's family, sometimes it's hard to decline, especially if you only see them a few times a year. So, I went with Bob the Builder gift in hand (who knew Bob the Builder was so last year and now Thomas the Train is the big deal?). My cousins usually get the big jumpy moonwalk things for their kids' parties, so it was no surprise to show up to some of the same today. In the past, most of the moonwalks have been a big blow up train or a big blow up caterpillar or something with openings just large enough for the little guys to crawl in, leaving no room for fun for the wistful adults (aka myself, if you can indeed classify me as an adult) longing to get in and jump, too. However, today was different. Today was the mega moonwalk slide! Apparently, my cousin asked for a slide as big as his house for his birthday, and his parents delivered! So I did what every 28-year old woman watching a bunch of kids have fun sliding down the slide would do: pushed them all out of the way in the race for the top! I slid down the slide sitting, laying down, backwards, and flipped upside down, and I had a great time! Who knew a 5 year old's birthday could be so much fun? Oh c'mon, you know you want to, too, don't 'cha?!

My nephew Tylers party they got one of these that had water hooked up to it with a litte pool on the bottom. They played on it all day and when they got off of it, the adults (well the drunk female adults anyway, the men were watching LSU play on TV) well anyway the adults got on it. For my nephew Sam's party we got this HUGE slide. The slide part was easily 12' tall and was also a water slide. They had a lot of fun on it. I brought it home and sat it up Sunday and kids from all over the neighborhood played on it all day Sunday. Lots of fun!
OMG.... I want one of those for my Birthday. Kara, will you get it for me?
